TOP 10 THINGS TO CHECK OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST IN PARIS, FRANCE

I have been lucky enough to visit Paris multiple times and every time is just as magical as the last. I was planning on re-visiting Paris for my birthday this year but unfortunately, I had to postpone due to COVID-19. Paris is packed full of incredible things to do so I have put together a list of 10 bucket list worthy things to do while in Paris.

#1 Watch the sunset over Paris from the top of the Eiffel tower.

Climbing to the top of the Eiffel tower no matter what time of day is going to be incredible but watching the sunset over Paris is truly magical!

I recommend booking your tickets online in advance so that you don't have to queue for as long once you get there. Tickets are 19,70€ or 25,90€ an adult depending if you want to get the lift the whole way or just part way.

#2 See the Mona Lisa in the Louvre.

Even just seeing the Louvre is worth being on your bucket list but I highly recommend going in and having a look around the museum.

Once again, I would recommend booking your tickets online as you don’t have to queue for as long, but if you don’t mind queueing for a while you can get your tickets for €15 instead of the online price of  €17.

#3 Eat macarons at Ladurée.

Ladurée is a luxury French bakery created in 1862 and is one of the worlds best-known premium sellers of the macaron and in my opinion, they make the best macarons.
You can visit Ladurée in many places in France but I would recommend visiting the one at 75 Av. des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France.

#4 Climb the Notre Dame towers to see the beautiful view of Paris.

The Notre Dame is Paris’ most famous gothic cathedral and was the home of the hunchback of Notre Dame. This is something that you can’t do at the moment as it is still closed from the fires that broke out in 2019 but is something that should be on your bucket list.
Tickets were €8.50 for entry to the tower and €6 for the crypt.

#5 Shop along the iconic Champs-Elysées.

Packed full of Designer stores and high end restaurants as well as cabarets and nightclubs. There are plenty of things to do on your walk along this incredible road to the Arc de Triomphe.

#6 Walk up the stairs to the Sacré-Cœur.

The Sacré-Cœur is the second most visited landmark in Paris, and there is a good reason for that, not only is it absolutely beautiful, the view from it is just as beautiful. It only costs €5 to go to the top of the Sacré-Cœur.

Address: 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, 75018 Paris, France

#7 Drink French Champagne on a dinner cruise of the river Seine.

River tours are one of my favorite ways to explore somewhere while relaxing at the same time. What's a better way to relax in France than with food and champagne?

Prices vary from company to company and time of year but start from as little as €65.

#8 Take a day trip to Disneyland.

Disney fan or not, Disneyland is a must when visiting Paris. With two theme parks full of a range of different rides and some unique to the Paris location, it’s ONLY a 37 minute train journey from Paris!

Train tickets start at €7.60 from Paris to Disney, and day tickets to the park start at just £52.51.

#9 eat freshly baked pain au chocolats and
croissants for breakfast.

When in Rome, right? Or Paris in this case. Is there anything more french than baked goods for breakfast? There are so many bakeries and cafes in Paris to choose from.

#10 Visit the Moulin Rouge.

The Moulin Rouge is the most famous cabaret in Paris, and the world. It’s best known as the birthplace of the modern form of the can can. The original building was founded in 1889 and burned down in 1915 when it was shut down for 6 years until it was reconstructed.

Tickets for the Moulin Rouge show start from €97.
